Who we are

Coolum Hearing Co. is proudly owned and operated by husband and wife team, Matthew and Cassandra Virgen.

​

Matthew has built a diverse and extensive career in hearing care, working with some of the largest providers in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast as both a clinician and a trainer.

 

His expertise extends internationally, having contributed to work projects in Europe and Asia. He has also served as a board member of HAASA (Hearing Aid Audiology Society of Australia), further deepening his industry knowledge.

As a local family, with three sons attending school in the area, they understand the importance of trust, continuity, and community in healthcare.

Cassandra Virgen

Cassandra supports the clinic’s operations while working as a registered midwife within the hospital system. Together, they are dedicated to providing genuine hearing care for the Coolum and Sunshine Coast community.
